Notice: August 10, 2011 To all our friends and clients: As many of you know, my health is not getting any better and cue building is detrimental. With all the precautions we take, it's gotten to the point that I just can't do it anymore. Although I'm doing fine, breathing through a respirator mask is more difficult now and that's the sign to pack it in. I've had this for years but it is now to the point that I'm having more difficulties as the years move on. I'm on daily medications which help tremendously and occasionally antibiotics and steroids when I flair up. I thank God that I am fortunate enough to have a great health plan. I truly sympathize with those of you who don't. This is no fun and it is time to enjoy the later years of my life. My decision does not come lightly and after laboring with this decision for many months it is time to announce that we will be retiring from cue building effective within 6 months. I love what I do but my health and well being are much more important. We need to finish about 25 cues and then that's it. Unfortunately, we'll have to cancel all orders after January 2010. I was going to try and finish some of the orders but after thinking about it, my health and lifestyle are more important. I will announce the final date about 30 days prior to closing up services at Barringer Cues. This web site will remain operational and I will be available by email here and through CueComponents. We can still service cues for light work such as tips, ferrules, etc. No refinishings. For those of you wondering about CueComponents, I will be running the daily activities but I do not have to physically manufacture anything. We have employees there who are fully capable of providing quality parts, products and shaftwood for the trade. Business will be as usual there. To all our friends and clients, we want to thank you for your past patronage and for the many lasting friendships we've made. We hope you'll enjoy your cues for years to come.
